Air Supply Device Of Air Suspension System

The main function of the air supply device of the air suspension system is to supply the air spring with the specified pressure within the specified time to ensure the normal operation of the air spring. The air supply device is also called a power unit or power pack. The air supply device is mainly composed of an air source, air reservoir, and air circuit. As shown in the figure, 1 is the air source, 2 is the air reservoir, 3 is the air circuit, 4 is the height valve and 5 is the air spring. 

The figure shows a typical structure of two airbags in the front suspension and four airbags in the rear suspension. The function of the air source is to produce compressed air. The function of the air reservoir is to store compressed air and maintain the compressed air at a certain high pressure. In this way, once inflation is required, high pressure can be quickly established to inflate the air spring, so as to ensure that the inflation process takes a short time. The air circuit includes an air pipe and necessary joints, and its function is to deliver compressed air. 

Generally, there are air sources and air reservoirs for air braking in buses, so these two parts can be borrowed for air suspension systems; If there is no air source in some light buses, an air compressor needs to be configured separately as the air source. If the inflation speed requirement is not high, the air reservoir can not be configured, but the air compressor can be directly connected to the height valve and air spring.
